More Tennis Thoughts

 Forehand Notes

  1. Initiating the stroke below the ball increases overall topspin (but is more challenging to time on fastballs)
  2. Hitting in front of the right shoulder really helps
  3. Accelerating the arm through the ball for more power (watch the follow-through)
  4. Keeping the wrist firm (not loose)
  5. Left hand going up
  6. Initiating the stroke after the bounce
  7. If you need to hit harder, you need more topspin to keep the ball on the court.
