Review: Amaluna by Cirque du Soleil

Today, we saw Cirque du Soleil's production of Amaluna. I really liked Amaluna. It had incredible acrobatic stunts and was fun to watch. The second half of the show was better than the first.

The stage had an exciting, creative flair.

We sat in row BB (2nd row from the stage) and enjoyed being close to the performers. They had great costumes and looked like they were enjoying their acts.

We liked most of the stunts. Highlights included the girl who balanced herself on one hand.

Inna got to try out some exotic masks before the show.

According to Wikipedia:
Amaluna is a touring show by Cirque du Soleil which premiered in Montréal, Canada, on April 19, 2012, created and directed by Diane Paulus.[1]Loosely inspired by William Shakespeare's The Tempest,[2] the story takes place on an island governed by goddesses. During a storm, a group of men are washed up on shore. The queen's daughter falls for one of the young men, and the trials of their love are the elements composing this production.[3]The title, Amaluna, is the combination of two words. "Ama" which refers to mother in many languages, and "luna" which means moon. The moon is a symbol of femininity, which is part of the reason it was chosen for this production.[4]
