With Alex relocating to San Francisco's Noe Valley neighborhood, we decided to celebrate his birthday at Memento SF, a local, well-regarded restaurant.
After dropping off a few items at his new digs (and his birthday presents), we walked a few blocks to Memento (on Castro Street).
Since one of Alex's roommates was running late, we ordered appetizers and drinks, and then the main courses. We ended up ordering the following items:
- Drinks: 3 x Pellegrino Sparkling, 1 x Chateau de Berne Rose
- Appetizers: Burrata & Arugula Salad, Salmon Tartare, Filet Mignon Meatballs Stroganoff, Crispy Rice Cakes
- Main: 2 x Pan-Seared Salmon, 2 x Curry Chicken, 1 x Moqueca Fish Stew
- Desserts: Coconut Chocolate Ganache, Ube Cheesecake, Birthday Celebration Cake
We enjoyed the appetizers, especially the Salmon Tartare and the Filet Mignon Meatballs. I really enjoyed my Moqueca Fish Stew too. For dessert, the Celebration Cheesecake was quite cheesy, and I actually preferred it to the Ube Cheesecake.
Our waitress was very nice, but sometimes a bit slow to clear our plates. We thought that Memento SF is a nice local restaurant, though slightly below Foreign Cinema in food and service.
For presents, we purchased the following for Alex:
- Nintendo Switch 2 - Choose Your Game Bundle
- Super Smash Bros Ultimate - US version
- The Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild for Switch 2
