Windsurfing Coyote Point

It's been a while since I could windsurf at Coyote Point. The wind had been inconsistent and quite gusty.

This time, I drove up, expecting to try my new Exocet RF81 foil board, but the wind was much higher than expected. It blew 17-20 knots at the beach and 23 knots in the channel.

I rigged my Ezzy Elite 5.7m sail and prepared my Fanatic FreeWave Stubby 105 board. The wind was consistent from about 16:00 to 17:00, and I had a fantastic windsurfing session.

I tried to perform two duck jibes but failed. However, I have a better feel for them now.

Here is a GoPro Hero7 Black video of windsurfing at Coyote Point.

My first session went quite well. Even after 45 minutes of windsurfing, I felt strong and not tired (as usual). I used my Apple Watch to record my sailing times. My fastest speed was 20.2 knots.

My second session started out really well, but the wind died eventually, and I had to land on Bozo's beach near Boardsports, Califonia. My fastest speed was 23 knots (faster due to smaller waves).

On July 16, 2019, I managed to windsurf at Coyote Point again. Here is a GoPro Hero7 Black video:
