After a long day in Salzburg, we drove to Bad Hofgastein to enjoy a relaxing day at the Alpentherme Gastein spa. Alex was tired and decided not to join us (too bad for him, as he missed the excellent slides).
The spa was a beautiful retreat with an alpine/mountain overlook and fantastic thermal pools and saunas.
We really enjoyed relaxing in the warm baths at Alpentherme. There were even fantastic slides for kids. Inna and I tried them and were very impressed. It's too bad Alex didn't join us!
There was a 25-meter, Olympic-sized swimming pool (with cold water) for training, and I decided to swim a few laps while Inna explored more of the Alpentherme property. The swim was nice and refreshing.
After the swim, we decided to try out the many saunas. Some turned out to be very hot! We stayed until the closing at 22:00.
I almost lost my car keys until the attendant explained that I had accidentally left them on the counter. Disaster avoided!
