Inna purchased the 2021 Apple iPad Pro 11 for my upcoming birthday with a 128GB SSD and M1 processor.
My current iPad Air 2 (from 2014) was getting a bit old, and I could use a newer iPad.
To complement the iPad Pro, I also purchased the Logitech Folio Touch iPad Keyboard Case (with a built-in trackpad).
It took me some time to restore my iPad Air 2 backup onto the iPad Pro 11, re-authorize all my applications, and re-enter all the passwords.
I will ship the old Apple iPad Air 2 to Phobio (for a Costco Rewards Card).
iPad Pro 11 Report Card
Positives
- High-speed performance with the Apple M1 chip (used also in Macbook Air and Macbook Pro)
- Large 11' screen
- Face unlock works very fast
- IOS 15 was required and seemed to have significant usability improvements
- Battery life is excellent
- USB-C charging port (same as Macbook Air/Pro)
Negatives
- $750 price for iPad Pro 11'
- No home button
