The Last Supper at Pastaria

With Alex departing for London (to study abroad with the N.U.in London program at Northeastern University), Inna and I took out for his last dinner in Los Gatos.

We chose one of his favorite local restaurants, The Pastaria & Market, in Los Gatos.

When we arrived at about 7:30pm on Thursday, September 2nd, the restaurant was bustling, with all outside seating full. We were asked to wait until 8:15pm.

Instead of waiting, we walked around Los Gatos, exploring new restaurants that we were unaware of. We found a couple of intriguing restaurants to try later, including:

We decided to try these restaurants at another time and returned to The Pastaria & Market. We were finally seated indoors at around 8:30pm. I was hoping to sit outside, but no tables were available. Indoor, the Pastaria was extremely loud.

After looking at the online menu, we ordered the following items:

  • Alex: Margherita Pizza, Valrhona Hot Chocolate
  • Boris: Tomato Soup
  • Inna: Frose Guava, creamy Tomato Soup, Burrata Salad
  • Dessert: Bread Pudding

Since it was late, I did not want to eat anything heavy, so  I settled for the Creamy Tomato Soup, which was light and delicious. Inna enjoyed her Creamy Tomato Soup and Burrata Salad, and Alex pounced on his Margherita pizza. He was starving, skipping breakfast, and having a very light lunch.

We enjoyed our delicious Bread Pudding dessert, but it was slow.
