On September 21, 2021, after a lot of discussions with Inna, I placed an official order for a Tesla Model Y. I selected the following Tesla Model Y options:
- White paint
- Tow Hitch (for attaching mountain bike racks)
The estimated delivery time is March 2022 (7 months away)!
I also initiated the effort to install an EV Charger at our home by contacting the following Electric Contractors:

- Quoted $600 - $800
- David Electric - highly recommended on Nextdoor (local)

- Visited home on 9/23/21. The estimated cost is $750 for the Nema 14-30R plug installed in the garage.
- Gen 2 NEMA Adapters (tesla.com) - $35 (to connect from 14-30 outlets to Tesla Mobile Adapter)

I can use the Tesla Mobile Connector (included with Model Y) to connect to the 220V 30A Nema 14-30R socket.
